Privacy Policy (TakeFlow)
Last Updated on August 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vladyslav Dmytriiev ("TakeFlow," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the TakeFlow mobile application (the "Service").
TakeFlow is an iOS teleprompter and video-recording application. It lets you prepare scripts, record videos, review and edit recordings, and save recordings to your Photos library.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The data controller responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy is:
Vladyslav Dmytriiev, independent developer
Email: heycontacts.com@gmail.com
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Vladyslav Dmytriiev is also the controller for purposes of applicable data-protection law, unless we tell you otherwise.
2. Information we process
A. Content you create in TakeFlow
You may create or store the following content in the app:
scripts, text, folders, and script history;
onboarding answers and preferences;
recorded videos and thumbnails;
video metadata, such as recording date, duration, dimensions, file size, file names, and folder assignments; and
app settings, such as camera, microphone, teleprompter, recording-quality, and display preferences.
In the current version of TakeFlow, this content is processed and stored locally on your Apple device. We do not upload your scripts, recordings, thumbnails, or onboarding answers to TakeFlow servers. We do not use this content for advertising, profiling, or artificial-intelligence model training.
Because this content is stored locally, we generally cannot access, recover, export, or delete it for you. You can manage it inside TakeFlow, in the Apple Photos app where you save a copy, or by deleting the app and its local data, subject to Apple’s device and backup settings.
B. Camera and microphone
TakeFlow requests access to your camera to show the camera preview and capture video. It requests access to your microphone to capture audio with your video. Camera and microphone input is processed on your device for recording and editing. We do not receive or upload camera frames, video recordings, or microphone audio to TakeFlow servers.
You can deny or withdraw these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. If you do, recording features that require the relevant permission may not work.
C. Photos library
TakeFlow requests Photos access only when you choose to save an exported recording to your Photos library. The app uses that access to create a copy of the selected video in Photos. We do not upload your Photos library or browse your library for unrelated media.
You can change or withdraw Photos permission in iOS Settings. If access is denied, TakeFlow cannot save recordings to Photos.
D. Purchases and subscriptions
TakeFlow offers free and paid features, including one-time and subscription products where available. Purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store and in-app purchase system. We do not receive your full payment-card number, bank-account details, or Apple ID password.
TakeFlow uses RevenueCat, Inc. to manage product offerings, purchase status, subscription entitlements, and restoration of purchases. RevenueCat may process information such as:
a pseudonymous RevenueCat App User ID;
product, purchase, transaction, renewal, expiration, and entitlement information;
app, device, operating-system, and SDK information; and
information needed to detect errors, provide subscription functionality, and respond to requests from the app.
TakeFlow does not create an account for you and does not send your email address to RevenueCat in the current version. RevenueCat handles this information under its own privacy policy, available at RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Apple separately processes payment and App Store transaction information under Apple’s privacy terms.
E. Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, message, attachments, and information about the issue. We use it only to respond to you, provide support, protect the Service, and keep records of support requests when reasonably necessary.
Please do not send sensitive personal information or private recordings unless it is necessary to resolve your support request.
3. Why we use information
Depending on the context, we use information to:
provide and operate TakeFlow;
process camera, microphone, Photos, recording, editing, and export features;
store and display content locally on your device;
provide, validate, restore, and manage purchases and subscriptions;
respond to support requests;
maintain the security, reliability, and functionality of the Service;
comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use of paid features.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your recordings or scripts for targeted advertising.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information on the following bases:
Performance of a contract: to provide features you request and manage purchases or subscriptions.
Consent: to access the camera, microphone, or Photos library when you grant the relevant iOS permission, and where consent is otherwise required.
Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, troubleshoot, improve, and support the Service, while balancing those interests against your rights.
Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law, court orders, tax requirements, and lawful requests.
You may withdraw a device permission at any time through iOS Settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred lawfully before withdrawal.
5. When we share information
We share information only as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, including with:
RevenueCat, for subscription and purchase management;
Apple, for operating-system permissions, App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and Photos functionality;
service providers, such as website hosting, email, security, or technical-support providers, if and when we use them; and
authorities or other parties, when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the Service.
We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar business transaction. We will require appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards where reasonably practicable.
We do not share your scripts, recordings, thumbnails, or onboarding answers with third parties in the current version of TakeFlow because those items remain on your device.
6. International data transfers
Some service providers, including RevenueCat, may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, we use legally recognized transfer mechanisms and appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards. You can contact us using the details above to ask about applicable safeguards.
7. Retention
Local scripts, settings, metadata, thumbnails, and recordings remain on your device until you delete them, delete the app, or they are otherwise removed through your device or backup settings.
Support messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, maintain support records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the Service.
Purchase and subscription information may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat for the periods described in their respective policies and as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, passcode, Apple account, and backups.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
request access to personal information we hold about you;
request correction or deletion;
request restriction of or object to certain processing;
receive a portable copy of information you provided;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, contact heycontacts.com@gmail.com and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling it. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions. Because most TakeFlow content is stored only on your device, you should use the app’s own deletion controls or delete the app for that content.
If your request concerns purchase or subscription information held by Apple or RevenueCat, we may need to direct you to the relevant provider or ask that provider to handle the request.
Residents of California and other U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws. TakeFlow does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the current version. Contact us to make a request or ask about the categories of information covered by the law that applies to you.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Third-party services and links
The Service may link to Apple, RevenueCat, support, or other third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
13. Contact us
